Acworth
Lake Acworth and Allatoona-adjacent neighbourhoods. Sloped waterfront-area lots where drainage and retention do most of the work.
Acworth sits between Lake Acworth and Lake Allatoona, and a lot of the neighbourhoods here were built on ground that slopes toward water. That is good for views and hard on landscaping — runoff has a clear path downhill and it will take soil, mulch and anything else loose along with it.
Retaining walls and grading are the practical answer. Terracing a slope produces flat, usable space where there was none and stops the constant loss of material from beds. We build with proper base preparation, drainage stone behind the face and a drain line out, because on a lot that already moves water a wall without drainage becomes a dam.
Once the grade is controlled, the rest follows easily. Paver patios, fire pit areas and seat walls turn a terraced slope into an actual outdoor living space, and planting beds hold their shape instead of washing flat every spring.
We work throughout Acworth including downtown, the Lake Acworth area, Bentwater, Governors Towne Club and Brookstone.
