Cartersville

Cartersville and the surrounding Bartow County properties give us more room to work with than the tighter Cherokee County subdivisions. Lots are generally larger and the terrain is flatter to gently rolling, which changes the priorities — less slope retention, more emphasis on lawn quality, irrigation coverage and defining space across an open yard.

Sod and irrigation frequently go together here. A large open lawn only looks good if it is watered evenly, and a large open lawn without irrigation turns brown in July regardless of what variety went down. We grade for drainage first, install the system with head-to-head spacing so there are no dry rings, then lay sod and water it in.

On bigger properties, hardscaping does the work of creating rooms. A paver patio, a seat wall, a fire pit area and a defined walkway give an otherwise featureless expanse of grass some structure and a reason to be outside in it.

We serve Cartersville proper along with Euharlee, White, Emerson and the Allatoona area. It is about a forty-minute drive from our Canton shop and we are out this way regularly.
