Roswell
Historic Roswell and the Chattahoochee corridor. Mature tree cover, shade-tolerant planting and river-adjacent drainage challenges.
Roswell has some of the best mature tree canopy in the metro area, and that shapes nearly every project here. Full sun plant lists do not apply. Turf struggles under dense shade no matter how much you water it, and the honest answer is often to stop fighting for lawn in those areas and plant something that actually wants to be there.
Shade-tolerant beds — hydrangea, fern, hosta, native understory shrubs — with a well-defined edge and clean mulch or pine straw look considerably better than thin, patchy grass. Where lawn is worth keeping, selective canopy thinning can bring in enough light to make it viable.
Properties closer to the Chattahoochee bring drainage into play. Lower-lying ground, higher water table and runoff from surrounding higher lots combine to produce yards that stay wet. We grade to move water, install drainage where grading alone will not solve it, and select plants that tolerate the conditions rather than ones that will slowly drown.
We serve Historic Roswell, Martin's Landing, Horseshoe Bend, the Willeo area and the Riverside corridor.
